Dixie Krystals

Dixie Krystals has been dazzling audiences for over 20 years. She grew up the small town of Curwensville, PA and always dreamed of having her name in lights….Well, we see where that got her?!?

Her LIVE vocals and tremendous comedic talents is undeniable! She was trained in Musical Theatre and worked for Walt Disney World, Princess Cruise Lines, Busch Gardens and various regional Theatres.

Her passion for COMMUNITY is what drives her to excellence. She is an ordained minister, Bingo Queen, Emcee, Vocalist, Hostess and wonderful performer. Recently she won an award for her Podcast; Spill’n The Tea With Dixie where she has weekly episodes to get your mind off the weeks stress.

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I grew up in small town, Curwensville PA.. My family is loud, proud and country through and through… My father is even a retired pastor.

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I have been blessed to travel the world to perform and have enjoyed every minute… Because honestly if you don’t love what you do, don’t do it! I have worked with Walt Disney World, Comedy Central, Busch Gardens and Princess Cruises over my 25 year career

Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
One of my favorites is Slice Works…. I LOVE Pizza!! another favorite is Vine Street Pub!

Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
I have worked in and around Denver for 6 years.

Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
Greece…I have always wanted to get lost in the culture and enjoy a room on the cliffs overlooking the ocean.

Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
Golden Girls… I am obsessed as many know.

Q: What advice would you give to people?
Be Kind. We need way more understanding, patience and kindness put back into humanity.

Q: What is something on your bucket list?
Retire in Hawaii and live on the beach selling shaved ice.

Q: What current or former local business makes you the most nostalgic about our community?
Hamburger Mary’s

Q: If you could choose anyone that is alive today and not a relative; with whom would you love to have lunch? Why? And where locally would y’all meet for this lunch?
Betty White. because i am a GG fan. We would go to Benny’s for Margaritas.

Q: What is your favorite thing or something unique about our community?
I love that when someone is in need we can put our differences aside and be there to help one another.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?
Having my own talk show and highlighting those in the community that are making a difference.

Q: (Even for friends or family), what is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
I LOVE to roller skate.

Q: What is the most beautiful place you have ever been?
Hawaii

Q: Favorite month? favorite holiday? and best single day on the calendar?
January, because it’s my birthday month. Christmas. Jan 12, the day i was born.

My love for my husband

Q: Who inspires you to be better?
My husband. He is always my cheerleader and pushes me to live my dreams.

Bubblegum and Vanilla
