Ralph

Hi I’m Ralph. I’m a licensed Master Barber from New York. I fell in love with the traditional art of barbering. I love what I do. It’s my livelihood. If I’m not at my shop then I’m probably at the gym or the grocery store. Cooking (mostly eating) is another passion of mine. If you’re around me long enough you’ll probably hear more soul music then you’ve ever heard .

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
My family came from Scotland in 1908. Just like everyone they wanted better lives. After over a 100 years there is only a handful of us left. My family careers were either boxing, bodybuilding or alcoholism.

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I am currently Owner of Ralphs Barbershop. I’ve been a barber almost 8 years. Prior to being a barber I was a hoodlum growing up in New York. Made a lot of bad decisions but they all led me here. I couldn’t imagine being anything but a barber. The instant gratification after each cut and the self esteem boosting of my clients makes me feel like I’m not sure even working. I don’t even like saying “clients”. We are friends.
