Steve Nadeau

Hello everyone! I’m a long time Denver resident who loves it here in the Governor’s Park neighborhood (south Cap Hill). I came to Colorado when I was 16 and used construction as a means to an end to stay here.

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.
I reconnected with a High School friend through FB after 35 years of not seeing each other. that was seven years ago. She moved here from VA, and her two adult children hav sinced come to Denver as well. Her oldest daughter is about to make us grandparents in about a month!

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?
I’ve been a cabinetmaker, exhibit builder, remodeling contractor, and a custom log home builder. I’ve used a lifetime of building experience to excel in my Home Inspection business. I love helping people to understand any issues they may have with their home purchase – and how to overcome them so they can be confident in their investment. Sharing my knowledge in a meaningful way gives me great satisfaction.

Q: What are a couple of your favorite restaurants in our community?
Oh boy – Covid has made me think differently about this answer. We’ve lost so many and I limit my dining to al Fresco or delivery. Weird answer, but Peter’s Chinese on 12th has been keeping me going.

Q: How long have you lived or worked in our community?
44 years now

Q: Who is the most interesting person you’ve met here in our community?
Not fair – I know quite a crew – none tops the others.

Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
I just love diving in the caribbean side of Mexico – I’ll be going to Cozumel in a month.

Q: What is one of your favorite movies? TV shows?
Not really my thing – I guess I did love the acting and writing involved with Breaking Bad. I’m a News junkie – Rachel Maddow would be my go-to drug for information.

Q: What advice would you give to people?
People don’t really care what you know, until they know that you care –

Q: What is something on your bucket list?
I would love to dive in Thailand.
